After being named MVP for his position group of Nike Football’s The Opening Regionals Houston in early February, Austin Stogner has gone on to receive 11 scholarship offers.
On Monday, the Prestonwood Christian (Plano, TX) tight end/wide receiver added to his total with No. 13 coming from Tennessee.
“They are awesome!” he said of the Volunteers’ coaching staff. “Super cool and intelligent.”
This was Stogner’s second SEC offer.
The 2019 prospect’s first came during an unofficial visit to Texas A&M on March 31.
Two days prior, Stogner landed his fourth Big 12 offer (Baylor, Oklahoma State, TCU) from the Sooners while on a visit to Oklahoma.
“Great universities that play big time football, and with great coaches.”
Earlier that week, Florida State extended the junior to be with his second ACC offer (Duke).
“Great tradition.”
Other offers include Colorado, Houston, North Texas, UTSA and Nebraska, which is Stogner’s next school to visit.
“Nebraska this week,” he said. “And then probably done until the summer.”
