When Sevyn Banks’ phone rang Sunday afternoon, Todd Lyght was on the other end.
The Notre Dame defensive backs coach and the Fighting Irish extended a scholarship offer to the Jones (Orlando, FL) defensive back.
“They called me,” Banks said. “I just met them today and Coach Lyght sounds like a cool coach and knows what he’s talking about.”
As far as planning a visit to South Bend right now, the 2018 prospect said, “I’m not sure yet. It’s a big offer. Just like the others have been”.
On Saturday, Banks made a trip to Florida, who offered this past January.
He had most recently been offered by FAU, Bethune-Cookman, Georgia Southern, Louisville and LSU, who hosted the cornerback for Junior Day.
The senior to be also holds offers from Auburn, Bowling Green, Buffalo, FIU, Florida State, Indiana, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio State, South Carolina, Syracuse, UCF and Virginia Tech.
