Travion Ford received an Oklahoma scholarship offer during early March.
On Saturday, the Luthern North (Saint Louis, MO) defensive end was able to get an up close look at the Sooners with a visit to Norman.
“The trip was awesome,” he said. “What stood out is the football program as a whole. It’s very organized and the facility has everything a football player would need to be successful. My parents were very pleased. They laid the red carpet out for us.”
The Big 12 program is among 17 other schools to offer Ford so far which recently included Florida State last month as well as Louisville, while on a campus trip to see the Cardinals.
Other notable visits this year have also included Ohio State, Arkansas, Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska and Kentucky, who have all extended offers to the 2021 prospect as well.
Ford holds other offers from Missouri, Illinois, Texas A&M, Utah, Minnesota, Alabama, Tennessee, LSU and South Dakota.
The sophomore confirmed plans to be at the Rivals Three Stripe Camp next weekend followed by Lindenwood’s camp at the end of the month.
