Minnesota DB announces transfer to Houston

Kelvin Clemmons has found a new college home.

After enrolling at Minnesota this past January, the cornerback revealed plans to transfer on Saturday.

His new school? Houston.

“I want to thank Minnesota for the opportunity to play football at the D1 level and showcase my talent on Big Ten Network,” he said. “Thank you to all that supported me. After talking with my family and my supporters I’ve decided to transfer.”

Prior to signing with the Golden Gophers during December, Clemmons had also received scholarship offers from Kentucky, Georgia State, South Alabama, UNLV, New Mexico, Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, Hawaii, Arkansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette, SMU, Tennessee-Martin, Toledo, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Liberty, Incarnate Word, Charlotte, FIU, Alcorn State, Marshall, Southern Miss, Troy and Maryland.

He had made campus trips to Kentucky, USF, Toledo and Utep.
