Zak Zinter was back on campus this weekend.
Less than a week after spending time at Ohio State, the Buckingham Browne and Nichols School offensive lineman made a trip to see the Buckeyes’ rival.
Michigan was the latest program to host Zinter.
“It was really awesome,” he said. “Got to see a lot of the academic side of Michigan which was really important to me. They had 2 full days planned out. It was awesome. Friday: met with training staff, player development, academics, watched practice, toured the football facilities and the new additions they’re adding, talked with nutritionist. Got to have lunch with OL coaches and went bowling and dinner with some of the players and coaches. Which was really cool to really get to know them outside of football. Saturday: had breakfast with OL Coaches, talked with Coach Warinner about how he thinks I can impact the team and how they think I’m a perfect fit for Michigan.”
The 2020 prospect had recently visited Penn State, Notre Dame and Boston College along with Duke and Virginia earlier this month.
Zinter holds scholarship offers from all of those schools and shared his impressions of Miami, who extended one of their own in January.
“I was excited to get the offer,” he said. “Really looking forward to getting to know the rest of the staff and their football program.”
The junior also has Iowa, Florida, Oregon, UCLA, Auburn, Princeton, Harvard, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Yale, Nebraska, UMass, Northwestern, Michigan State, Syracuse, Rutgers, Pitt, Tennessee, Dartmouth and Purdue offers.
