Stanford hosts All-American RB

As one of the top running back recruits in the country, Kalel Mullings has gotten to know the Stanford coaching staff since his freshman year.

Now as a junior, the Milton Academy (Boston, MA) product was able to catch up with the Cardinal coaches over the weekend.

Mullings recapped the conversation with head coach David Shaw and running backs coach Ron Gould following a visit to the Palo Alto campus.

“Sitting down and talking with coach Shaw and just spending time watching coach Gould run the RB practice was the highlight of the trip for me.”

The 2020 prospect received a Stanford scholarship offer just a few days prior to this past Christmas and has since added other ones from UMass, Colorado, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Georgia Tech.

He announced a commitment to the US Army All-American Bowl after the new year.

Last Fall, Mullings made a visit to Clemson, Michigan, Boston College and Notre Dame along with Yankee Stadium to see the Fighting Irish take on Syracuse.

He currently holds offers from all of these schools as well as Duke, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, San Jose State, Tennessee, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
