Wisconsin adds to California pipeline

With 40-plus scholarship offers for Spencer Lytle, the St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA) linebacker narrowed his list of schools to a final two, Wisconsin and Clemson.

After a pair of offers earlier this year, Lytle made visits to both schools during June following previous campus trips this past April.

The 2019 prospect revealed the Badgers as his future football program on Saturday.

“It was an extremely tough decision,” he said. “I really liked both programs. Wisconsin just felt like the right fit overall.”

Lytle began receiving offers from schools throughout the country following Indiana’s offer in early January of 2017.

The incoming senior went on to make trips and add offers from Army, Pitt, Michigan, UCLA, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Colorado, Illinois, Texas and Texas A&M.

He is the first California product for the Badgers in the recruiting class joining 2018 class member Alex Smith out of Culver City (Culver City, CA).
