In-state commit talks Missouri decision

Ask Maurice Massey what led to his Missouri commitment and the Kirkwood (St. Louis, MO) prospect will likely point to the ‘fit’of the school and football  program.

The Tigers added their second wide receiver for the 2019 recruiting class after Charles Njoku (Wayne, NJ) extended a verbal commitment of his own less than a week ago.

“After getting it narrowed down it came to where I see myself fitting in,” Massey said. “Where my family can come see me play and who I had the best connection with.”

The incoming senior had narrowed the final list of schools to Missouri and Illinois after recent visits to both campuses.

Massey, who was previously verbally committed to Iowa State, landed offers from the Tigers, Arizona State and UNC last month with Western Kentucky, Oregon, Eastern Michigan and Ball State offers this past May.

He also holds offers from Arizona, Boston College, Bowling Green, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Lindenwood, Miami (OH), NIU and Stephen F. Austin.
