
During two of Alabama’s three appearances in the College Football Playoff National Championship, the SEC Program found themselves splitting these match-ups against Clemson.
Over the next month, Maury (Norfolk, VA) defensive back Sheridan Jones is planning unofficial visits to see the Tigers on the 14th and the Crimson Tide a week later.
“Both are top schools in the country,” he said. “I have good relationships with both coaching staffs.”
Considered among the elite cornerbacks in the 2019 recruiting class, Jones holds scholarship offers Clemson and Alabama.
The Under Armour All-American mostly recently spent this past weekend at Ohio State, who extended an offer of their own last August.
“The football program is definitely one of the best in the country,” he said of the Buckeyes. “I have a good relationship with [conerbacks] coach Taver [Johnson] and [head] coach Urban Meyer. I got to get a good feel of them and coach [Greg] Schiano also.”
Last month, Jones landed an offer from Nebraska and took a campus trip to South Carolina.
The Gamecocks, Auburn, Charlotte, Florida, FAU, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Oklahoma, Penn State, Syracuse, Temple, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and West Virginia have all offered him as well.
