One of Georgia’s top defensive back prospects for the 2019 recruiting class spent time outside “The Peach State” over the weekend with a trip to Texas.

Grayson (Loganville, GA) safety/cornerback Kenyatta Watson II was in Austin for an unofficial visit after the Longhorns hosted their junior day the previous weekend.

“UT was great,” he said, “I was really impressed. They have great tradition and I like the staff. They all seem to be on the same page.”

Watson II, who had committed to Florida State last April, received a scholarship offer from Texas this past November.

Texas A&M extended one of its own during early December following Jimbo Fisher’s resignation as the Seminoles head coach and acceptance of the same position with the Aggies.

The junior went on to land an offer from USF less than a week later and announced a decommitment from FSU just after the new year.

So far during 2018, he has made campus trips to Tennessee, Notre Dame and Oklahoma with recent offers from Minnesota, Southern Cal and Auburn.

Watson II also holds offers from the Volunteers, Fighting Irish, Sooners, Boston College, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Florida, FAU, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, South Alabama, Syracuse, Tulane, UCF, UMass, UNC, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
