During April of 2016, Alontae Taylor first landed interest from Notre Dame when members of its coaching staff made a visit to the wide receivers’ high school.

On Tuesday, the Coffey County Central (Manchester, TN) 2018 prospect landed a scholarship offer from the Fighting Irish.

He is currently verbally committed to Tennessee and had most recently made trips to Knoxville for games against Indiana State, UMass and Georgia.

Taylor also attended the Volunteers’ 42-41 season-opening win over Georgia Tech at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The senior holds over 20 offers including Georgia, Louisville, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Stanford, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt, which he decommitted from in early May of 2016.
