Donnovan Moorer ready for more campus visits

In his sophomore year with Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA) so far, Donnovan Moorer has found time on the recruiting trail.

This began during college football’s opening weekend when the wide receiver was in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Florida State’s 24-7 loss to Alabama.

“It was great,” he said. “Although FSU had a tough game, it shocked me how locked in the FSU fans were. Haven’t seen anything like that before.”

Moorer has plans to experience more game day venues including another ACC program as well as ones from both the SEC and PAC 12.

“I’m looking to get to NC State and South Carolina before the season ends,” he said. “And as of now, I plan to fly out to UCLA for a gameday weekend visit to get the experience of the west coast. Nothing confirmed, but I have been looking at flights with my parents.”

The 2020 prospect had most recently received a scholarship offer from Oregon during July after Minnesota extended one of its own in June.

Earlier this Spring, Moorer landed offers from South Alabama and Kansas with an unofficial visit to South Carolina, following offers from UCLA, TCU and Louisville in February.

He also holds offers from Miami (FL), Illinois, FIU, Indiana, Maryland, Middle Tennessee State and Jacksonville State, and has spent time on-campus at both in-state rivals Georgia and Georgia Tech.
