California prospect reflects on SEC offer

With scholarship offers from the Big Ten, Big 12 and PAC 12 for Demarcus Griffin, the Washington Union (Fresno, CA) athlete received more Power 5 conference interest.

On Tuesday, Mississippi State extended an offer of its own to Griffin, which was his first from the SEC.

“My impression of MSU is it’s a great programs,” he said. “Feels like it opens up a lot of doors for me.”

Illinois had most recently offered the 2019 wide receiver/cornerback in July while Colorado, Rutgers, Kansas and Neveda extended ones of their own during June.

This past Spring, BYU, UTEP, Texas State and Southern Miss all offered Griffin, who has a plethora of campus visits on his mind.

“Illinios, Nevada and maybe USC, and San Diego State.”
