In-state prospect reflects on Texas visit

Living just about 20 minutes away from campus, Collin Sullivan was able to take a short commute to Austin on Saturday.

The Round Rock (Round Rock, TX) wide receiver witnessed the Longhorns’ 56-0 win over San Jose State during an unofficial visit at Texas.

“It was really cool,” he said. “And it was a great win.”

Sullivan reflected on the trip which included a conversation with wide receivers coach and pass game coordinator Drew Mehringer.

“It was good to talk to Coach Mehringer, get a tour, and be on the sidelines before the game.”

Last weekend, the 2020 prospect made another visit within the state after attending Michigan’s 33-17 season-opening win over Florida at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

“That was a great game,” he said. “There were a lot of big time plays. I was really excited to see Michigan. I haven’t really looked at Florida schools but they obviously have great programs.”

As far as upcoming visits, Sullivan has plans to make a trip for an AAC contest in early October along with a PAC 12 tilt later this Fall.

“I will go to the SMU and Houston game in a couple weeks,” he said “And I’m going out to Oregon to watch the game against UW.”

Sullivan made campus trips to Texas A&M, Texas, North Texas, SMU, Houston, UCLA and Georgia during the summer.

“I know it’s early for me, so it’s just nice right now to see the different programs and see them play.”
