Prudy Calderon took an unofficial visit to Rice this past Monday, where he received a scholarship offer from the Owls.

On Saturday, the San Marcos (San Marcos, TX) athlete extended a verbal commitment to the Conference USA program.

“The coaching staff up there is great,” he said. “Great experience and great people all around. The area is close with a great education to go along with a great football program.”

Calderon holds 12 scholarship offers which also includes Army, Brown, Columbia, Eastern Illinois, Holy Cross, Houston Baptist, Jacksonville, Penn, San Diego, Texas State and Yale.

The 2018 prospect spent time at both The Nike Opening Houston Regionals and the U.S. Army National Combine earlier this year.
