Miles Brooks has been buzzing about the Bruins over the last few weeks.
Just an incoming sophomore, the Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, FL) defensive back received a scholarship offer from UCLA last month.
“I love the coaching staff and program,” he said. “I can’t wait to try and get up there this summer for a visit. I love the way their program is run, and also their defense. I see what UCLA is doing with their defensive back unit, and I know the coaches know what they are doing. They will definitely be a school that I will have an eye on in the future.”
This past January, Brooks landed his first offer from Virginia Tech.
“Program is great,” he said. “I love the coaching staff. I also plan to get up there this summer to take a visit.”
The 2020 prospect made another first during February with an unofficial visit to in-state SEC program, Florida.
“Getting to take a tour around campus was great,” he said. “I got to know some of the coaching staff a little better. Just the atmosphere around campus was great and to see what goes on at a great school like Florida.”
Brooks might also be looking to get on-campus in Big Ten country.
“Another school standing out to me would be Ohio State,” he said. “I’ve become a big fan of Ohio State over the years and now that a former teammate of mine Shuan Wade (Class of 2017) is there, it’s even better. I see what coach [Kerry] Coombs (cornerbacks coach) is doing with the defensive backs and I know he knows what he is doing. Just to see how many guys he’s getting to the next level is fascinating, and knowing that over time I could be next.”
