Prior to the New Year, Tommy Bush held a lone scholarship offer from in-state Texas State.
Following a second offer from Colorado State in mid-January, the Samuel Clemens (Schertz, TX) wide receiver has now gone on to receive 37 more after Penn State offered on Saturday.
“Penn State’s offense is fast paced and gives players a lot of opportunities to make plays due to the amount of time on the field,” he said. “The coaches and wide receiver coach [Josh] Gattis are very impressive, and I believe that it will only get better as everyone gets more and more reps in the offense. And to top it off, they won the Big 10! Very excited about this opportunity.”
Last weekend, it was an unofficial visit to the SEC’s Texas A&M for Bush, who landed an offer from the Aggies during late-February.
“Seeing the team in action in the Friday Night Lights,” he said of the trip. “Also, one-on-ones with all the coaches, including Coach [Kevin] Sumlin, plus the academic staff and shuttled around campus.”
The 2018 Under Armour All-American made went to see Baylor of the Big 12 as well in late-March.
“Head Coach [Matt] Rhule and wide receiver coach [Bob] Bicknell were super nice,” he said. “We sat down and watched some film and what the offense could look like. Very exciting.”
Earlier this week, Bush received offers from Pac-12 programs Cal and Utah after Colorado and UCLA both offered in March.
