
Ameer Speed has narrowed his list of future colleges.
The 2017 Sandalwood (Jacksonville, FL) defensive back announced his top eight schools on Saturday, which includes Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Speed currently holds 37 offers. He most recently received offers from Missouri (March 23), Southern Cal (April 7), Michigan State (May 6), Notre Dame (May 18), South Carolina (May 19) and Auburn (June 17). Speed was visited by Michigan State’s co-defensive coordinator Mike Tressel on May 6 as well as Florida State’s associate head coach Odell Haggins on May 24. He also went to camps at North Carolina on June 14 and Florida State on June 18.
Speed has the ability to play virtually every position in the secondary with his natural fit being cornerback. He is among the most dynamic defensive players in the country for the 2017 recruiting class.
