Ole Miss extends scholarship offer to 2017 defensive lineman

Alec Jackson’s total number of scholarship offers is now up to 27.

On Saturday, the Jefferson Davis (Montgomery, AL) 2017 defensive lineman became the latest to receive an offer from Ole Miss.

Since the spring off-season, Jackson added offers from Texas, (May 9), Florida (May 12), Missouri (May 12) and Maryland (May 13). He also took visits to South Carolina (June 8), North Carolina (June 10), LSU (July 21) and Texas (July 23), and went to camps at Alabama and Clemson.

Jackson provides scheme versatility at the line of scrimmage with his ability to fit in at both a 3-4 defensive end and a 4-3 defensive tackle. He can also be used at defensive tackle for nickel and dime packages. Jackson has a well rounded presence up front possessing both pass rush and run support skill sets.
