It was a third trip to Iowa for Jamal Johnson last weekend.
And the Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL) all-purpose running back came away impressed by the Hawkeyes once again.
“My visit was great,” Johnson said. “It’s always a nice atmosphere.”
Prior to the on-campus visit, the 2021 recruit was in Iowa City for junior day during early March.
Iowa currently has three overall verbal commits from Johnson’s class which includes offensive linemen Connor Colby (Cedar Rapids, IA) and Gennings Dunker (Lena, IL), along with Urbandale (IA) linebacker Jaden Harrell.
So far, the Hawkeyes have extended offers to running backs Ricky Parks (Tampa, FL) and Willie Shaw (Oak Lawn, IL).
Johnson spent time at other Big Ten programs earlier this offseason after going to see Michigan and Northwestern in April as well as Minnesota a month prior.
