It’s no wonder Chris Tyree is considered among the top prospects in the 2020 class.
Over the last few months, Tyree has garnered attention from three of the four qualifiers for this past season’s College Football Playoffs.
The Thomas Dale (Chester, VA) running back made a visit to Notre Dame this past December, received an Alabama scholarship offer in late January and was at Oklahoma earlier this month.
Tyree recapped his most recent trip to Norman.
“The football program has a lot of history and success,” he said of the Sooners, who offered last Spring. “The coaching staff seemed like they work very well together. I really think they have a true family atmosphere there. The biggest highlight for me was getting to sit down and discuss game film.”
During early December, the incoming junior revealed Oklahoma and the Fighting Irish in his top 10 schools.
This list also included Florida State, Michigan, Penn State, Mississippi State, Stanford, Nebraska as well as in-state programs Virginia and Virginia Tech.
So far, Tyree holds offers from 30 programs which also includes Boston College, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, LSU, Marshall, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Pitt, South Carolina, Temple, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.
