Lakeland DE/OLB adding more college interest following junior season

Morven Joseph’s recruiting began to pickup momentum heading into the end of 2018.

During November, the 2020 defensive end/outside linebacker received scholarship offers from Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Virginia, Nebraska and Pitt, with a visit to SEC East Division champions Georgia.

This was followed by a trip to Tuscaloosa to see SEC champion Alabama, which qualified for Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship against Clemson.

“Alabama and Georgia were some amazing visits,” he said. “Just being on the sideline talking to the coaches and players was amazing.”

Joseph went on to land Kentucky, Syracuse and Michigan State offers in December and announced an invitation to the Under Armour All-America Camp Series.

On Saturday, the Lake Gibson (Lakeland, FL) prospect revealed an invite to Nike Football’s The Opening Regional.

Joseph’s first offer was extended by Southern Miss nearly a year ago.

“I got some visits I’m going to next month,” he said. “Nebraska and Virginia Tech.”
