As Ridge Jacobs continues the Fall campaign with University Christian (Jacksonville, FL), the quarterback is receiving college notice from the Carolinas along with in-state schools.
Jacobs has made campus trips to South Carolina, UNC, NC State, UCF and Florida.
“South Carolina is high on my list,” he said. “Great coaching staff. UNC is another school I like a lot, great education opportunity and really enjoyed the coaching staff. At UCF, I love the school and coaches and also the big campus. Had a really good time at NC State and also camped at Florida.”
Last weekend, the 2021 prospect was at UCF following a visit to South Carolina where the Gamecocks hosted Georgia on Sept. 8 during a 41-17 loss to the Bulldogs.
“The atmosphere was out of this world,” he recalled. “USC coaches are always laid back. Enjoyed it a lot. UCF has a really good program. I’m sure I will be back.”
Currently, Jacobs is focused on his high school program with hopes to see both Virginia Tech and UNC later this year.
“My high school season so far is going great,” he said. “We should make the playoffs. Just trying to get better every week.”
NCAA certified football scout Jay Holgate of the Blue 57 Recruiting Network shared his impressions of the sophomore.
“We like Ridge Jacobs’ upside,” he said. “He has competed well.”
