Iowa State lands JUCO LB commitment

Iowa State is adding some immediate depth to the linebacker position.

On Saturday, Fullerton College (Fullerton, CA) prospect Caleb Johnson revealed a verbal commitment to the Cyclones.

The JUCO product finished last season with 5.5 sacks and 41 tackles which was highlighted by an 8 tackle and 1.5 sack performance during a 75-16 win over Riverside in late November.

Johnson received Iowa State’s scholarship offer this past May and made an official visit to Ames the following month.

Marshall and Arkansas had also offered over the last few weeks as well as FAU in the Spring.
