Just a few short weeks after Vanderbilt extended Cornelious Brown with his first SEC scholarship offer, the Calera (Calera, AL) quarterback received an in-state one from arguably the conference’s most highly regarded program, Alabama.
Brown had made a visit to Tuscaloosa last week.
“It’s all top notch,” he said.
The Crimson Tide are likely looking to add depth at the position in the 2019 recruiting class considering they currently have verbal commitments from Paul Tyson (Trussville, AL) and Taulia Tagovailoa (Alabaster, AL).
Tagovailoa’s brother Tua rallied Alabama during the second half of last season’s win over Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Brown took a visit to LSU in April along with Duke and Tennessee during March.
Last month, offers included FAU, Louisiana-Lafayette, Rutgers, Jacksonville State, Austin Peay and Western Carolina.
He also holds offers from Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, UAB and Troy.
The signal caller spent time at both UAB and Troy earlier this year and was on campus at LSU last November.
