Michigan State offers Chicago area RB

Anthony Williams Jr. left Michigan State on Wednesday with a scholarship offer.

The Spartans were the latest program to extend one to the Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL) running back.

“I had a real good visit,” he said. “MSU is an elite football program with a lot of tradition.”

The senior spent time on campus for an unofficial visit to East Lansing last summer after competing in Michigan State’s camp during the previous year.

“I think they are a very good coaching staff,” he said. “They give you the feeling that the Spartan family is family for life.”

This past Fall, Williams made unofficial visits to East Lansing, Rutgers, Kentucky, Purdue, Minnesota, Michigan and Notre Dame.

Williams spent time at both Indiana and Illinois for their junior days earlier this Spring which was followed by an offer from Kent State last month.

The 2019 prospect had most recently taken a trip to the East Coast last weekend with an official visit to Boston College, and holds an offer from the Eagles.

Williams also received offers from Cincinnati, Arkansas State, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Fordham, New Mexico, North Dakota State, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana State, Kent State, Miami (OH), NIU, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia State, Minnesota State, Eastern Illinois, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Toledo, Western Illinois, Western Michigan and Wyoming.
