Texas to host in-state DL

The SEC and Big 12 are currently in a recruiting battle.

So far during the month of June, scholarship offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Alabama and Georgia have been extended towards Vernon Broughton.

One program the Spring Woods (Houston, TX) defensive lineman plans to see next are the Longhorns, who offered on Friday.

Broughton is scheduled to be in Austin for the first time on Monday following a visit to College Station earlier this week.

The 2020 prospect was at an Alabama camp less than two weeks ago and the Baylor camp last week.

He confirmed other potential upcoming visits will likely include Clemson, LSU and Ole Miss.

Baylor was the first program to offer Broughton, who also holds offers from Grambling and local AAC program Houston.
