The last time Jay Ward spent time at Alabama, the Colquitt County (Moultrie, GA) defensive back left Tuscaloosa empty handed nearly two months ago.
Monday went a little different for Ward after receiving a scholarship offer from the Crimson Tide at their camp.
“I had been there before,” he said. “Alabama was a great trip.”
This past May, the 2019 prospect was on campus at FAU after landing an offer from the Owls as well as ones from Cincinnati, Indiana, Colorado State, USF, Western Kentucky and Marshall.
Offers came Iowa State and UAB during April while UCF, Appalachian State, Southern Miss and Georgia State all offered in March.
He also holds offers from Georgia State, West Virginia, Florida A&M, Georgia Southern, Chattanooga, South Alabama and Kentucky.
Ward has made trips to Lexington along with Georgia Southern and Auburn.
