SEC school early favorite for Bishop Sullivan DB

Nehki Meredith named a current leader as it relates to his college recruiting.

Following a visit to Tennessee, the 2020 prospect has the Volunteers at the top of the list.

“Tennessee as of right now,” he said. “Other schools I’ve just had small conversations with them when they came to see me or over the phone. But Tennessee because that’s the last place I visited.”

Later this off-season, Meredith plans to compete in a Knoxville camp along with other campus competitions and more visits.

“I plan on trying to visit every school I have an offer to,” he said. “Attending Clemson, Tennessee and Penn State camps as of right now. Also trying to get down to TCU.”

The Horned Frogs extended a scholarship to the Bishop Sullivan (Virginia Beach, VA) defensive back on Thursday after Wednesday’s offers from North Carolina and Nebraska, who he shared his impressions of.

“I know they’re going to have a great program,” Meredith said of the Cornhuskers. “Guys will be well coached and Nebraska is just live period. I heard their fan base is like no other.”

Texas A&M and Penn State added offers of their own less than a week ago along with Temple earlier this month as well as the Volunteers, who offered during April.

He also holds offers from Maryland, FAU and Virginia Tech.
