Purdue commit more than a defensive end

George Karlaftis continues to be regarded as one of the country’s best defensive lineman since committing to Purdue during October.

With versatility on the edge, the West Lafayette (IN) product provides scheme versatility as both a 4-3 defensive end and 3-4 outside linebacker.

Not a tweener, but truly a prospect that can be stout against the run, provide a pass rush and drop into pass coverage.

Karlaftis displays traits which mirror the Washington Redskins’ Trent Murphy during his time at Stanford (14′).

Earlier this year, the incoming senior added scholarship offers from Clemson and Florida.

Last Fall, he received offers from Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Louisville with Tennessee, Miami (FL) and Alabama extended ones of their own over the Summer.

Karlaftis also holds offers from Michigan, Western Michigan, Toledo, Notre Dame, SMU and Indiana.

The 2019 prospect made a campus trip to Ann Arbor in late-March and another to Purdue the following day.
