More visits for San Diego area athlete

After competing at last weekend’s Nike Football The Opening Dallas Regional, Diego Preciado is now looking towards the remainder of the off-season.

The Classical Academy (Escondido, CA) athlete has plans to visit a variety of highly regarded academic institutions on both the East and West Coasts.

“The teams which are recruiting me the heaviest as of right now would most likely be Davidson College, Princeton, Harvard, West Point, Cornell, Yale, Cal Poly and Stanford,” he said. “They are all respectably interested, but Davidson has expressed a very high level of interest as of late.”

During the recruiting process so far, Preciado took trips to Yale, Columbia, Cal Poly and San Diego State.

The 2019 prospect is looking to get on campus at a Pac 12 program along with a pair of schools on the opposite coast.

“I have a visit to Stanford scheduled,” he said. “And I will be attempting to go back east to visit Cornell and possibly Davidson.”

Preciado scored in the 93rd percentile at The Opening which included a 35.6″ vertical and a time of 4.73 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
