California athlete adding more offers

One of California’s best kept secrets in the 2020 recruiting class continues to gain more notice over the last month or so.

Earlier this week, Daniyel Ngata received a scholarship offer from Oregon following another PAC 12 offer from Arizona State last weekend.

The Folsom (Folsom, CA) athlete shared his impressions of the Ducks football program as well as his current list of campus visits.

“They seem really good and I can’t wait for the season so I could see how they do,” Ngata said. “I’m going to Oregon’s junior day. I will be attending the ASU spring game and San Jose State and Utah practices.”

The sophomore also recently landed offers from Notre Dame, San Diego State, San Jose State and Utah.

He has the traits to be an every down back at the next level due to his strengths in pass protection and the check downs.

This is an explosive runner in space with the ability to play down hill between the tackles or provide agility and quickness to the outside.

Having a background on the defensive side of the ball translates well for the physicality while running the ball.

According to Ngata, Arizona State currently projects him at either cornerback or free safety.

A quality asset in special teams coverage units as well. Gets down field fast and executes sound fundamentals as it relates to tackling.

Also elite vision in the kick/punt return game.

His older brother Joe, who plays wide receiver for Folsom, holds offers from over 16 programs including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Southern Cal and Washington.
