Oregon commit reflects on decision

What began with a scholarship offer from Oregon this past summer has now developed into Donnovan Moorer naming the Ducks as his future school.

The Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA) wide receiver revealed which factors went into the decision to play in the PAC 12.

“Great coaches and former players that fit my play style that have gone on to succeed in the league helped a lot,” he said. “I’ve been in a lot of contact with the coaches and I really love their mindset and they are bringing the swag back to Oregon.”

Moorer has yet to make an unofficial visit to Eugene but looks to get to campus later this school year.

As far as entertaining interest from other programs goes, the 2020 prospect is currently working out a plan.

“I might still take visits,” he said. “My recruiting process is pretty much shutdown. Something I will discuss with my parents.”

Earlier this season, Moorer was in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Florida State’s 24-7 loss to Alabama.

The sophomore had most recently received a scholarship offer from the Ducks during July after Minnesota extended one of its own in June.

During the Spring, Moorer landed offers from South Alabama and Kansas with an unofficial visit to South Carolina, following offers from UCLA, TCU and Louisville in February.

He also holds offers from Miami (FL), Illinois, FIU, Indiana, Maryland, Middle Tennessee State and Jacksonville State, and has spent time on-campus at both in-state rivals Georgia and Georgia Tech.
