Although the recruitment of Sean Ryan and Shamel Lazarus is approached by potential colleges on an individual basis according to Lazarus, the two Eramus Hall (Brooklyn, NY) teammates made an unofficial visit together on Tuesday.
Ryan, a wide receiver, and Lazarus, a cornerback, were in ACC country on the campus of Boston College.
“It was nice being on tour with Sean,” Lazarus said. “I really liked the laid back and relaxed environment. The coaches treated us very well and they probably have the nicest campus I’ve ever seen. If we end up going to the same school, that would be awesome, but our recruitment is completely separate.”
The 2018 prospects have both taken a plethora of trips throughout the off-season.
Lazarus most recently was on an unofficial visit to UConn last Thursday along with the Rutgers and Virginia Tech camps last month while Ryan was at Rutgers and Virginia Tech as well.
They both hold offers from the Scarlet Knights, Purdue and Buffalo while Ryan also has Boston College, Maryland, Nebraska, Bowling Green, Syracuse, Temple and Western Michigan, with Kent State extending one to Lazarus, who plans to schedule visits to Rutgers and Pitt.
