Jevon Holland reflects on Pac 12 verbal commitment

With scholarship offers from schools which include Notre Dame, Boise State and Pac 12 programs Arizona, Cal, Colorado, UCLA, Washington and Washington State, Jevon Holland decided to announce a verbal commitment to Oregon this past May.

The Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, CA) safety revealed that his decision to spend his college years in Eugene came down to a plethora of factors.

“My commitment was definitely the relationship with the coaches and the environment surrounding the school,” he said. “The school’s academics and the players I’m going with.”

So far in the 2018 recruiting class, the Ducks have landed 15 commitments overall.

The incoming senior is now their third defensive back in this class following verbals from Edison (Fresno, CA) safety Steve Stephens and Wesley Chapel (Zephyrhills, FL) cornerback Isaiah Bolden.

During late April, Oregon extended a scholarship offer to Holland, who recently competed in The Nike Opening Finals.

He also holds a pair of Big Ten offers from Illinois and Nebraska.
