UCLA commit receives a pair of SEC offers

A day after landing a scholarship offer from Alabama, Chris Steele received another from the SEC when Mississippi State extended one of their own on Tuesday.

The St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA) cornerback, who committed to UCLA during late-January, also holds an SEC offer from LSU and plans to make a visit to Alabama.

“They’re probably the best program in college football,” Steele said of the Crimson Tide. “Great athletics and academics. I like them a lot.”

The 2019 prospect also shared his impressions of Mississippi State and its coaching staff.

“They’re a great program with down to earth coaches and I like that.”

Prior to his UCLA verbal commitment, the 2019 prospect had landed an offer from the Bruins in early December, Southern Cal and Nebraska during January, along with FAU in March and Colorado last month.

Steele also has additional Pac-12 offers from Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Oregon as well as Boston College, Boise State, BYU, San Diego State, Howard and Jackson State
