Ben Davis defensive back talks Central Michigan scholarship offer

It’s now five scholarship offers from MAC programs for Elijah Ball after receiving another from Central Michigan on Saturday.

The Ben Davis (Indianapolis, IN) cornerback has been impressed with the Chippewas’s first year running backs coach Jayden Everett.

Everett had spent five seasons in two separate tenures with Indiana State.

“Coach Everret knows the Indy kids from the inner city very well,” Ball said. “Seems to be a family environment.”

He also holds offers within the conference from Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), NIU, and Ohio.

Outside the league, the 2018 prospect holds offers from Purdue and Cincinnati.

Ball made a trip to Cincinnati earlier this month and West Lafayette last month, along with a trip to Toledo in early February.

“As of right now, I’ve got to go visit NIU, Colorado State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Ohio,” he said. “And revisit some.”
