Brown visits Champaign for Illini-UNC

Over the weekend, Cameron Brown spent time with the Illinois coaching staff, which included taking facility and campus tours.

The Christian Brothers (St. Louis, MO) wide receiver also attended the Illini’s 48-23 loss to UNC, where he took in the night game atmosphere, during this unofficial visit to Champaign, IL.

“The trip went well,” said the 2018 prospect.”I enjoyed it at Illinois. I was able to meet all the coaches and talked with them before the game.”

Brown, who holds scholarship offers from the Illini, Cincinnati, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri and Vanderbilt, recently took an unofficial visit to Ames, IA on Aug. 28.

“I liked when I got to sit and talk to all the coaches,” he said after spending time at Iowa State.”One by one, that was the highlight on the trip.”

As for his plans to make a return to Champaign, Ames, Iowa City, IA and Columbia, MO, the junior has nothing set for now.

“I’m not sure yet.”

On the football field, Brown forces the defensive opposition to provide safety help routinely. Displays a comfortable presence out on the boundary, particularly on deep fly patterns, come backs, screens, and high pointing jump balls in the red zone. Can also split the secondary on post routes.
