Holding scholarship offers from Texas A&M and UCLA, Joshua Moore was able to see both football programs up close on Saturday.
The Yoakum (TX) athlete stayed in-state over Labor Day weekend with an unofficial visit to College Station, where he witnessed the Aggies’ 31-24 overtime win against the Bruins.
Moore, who also has an offer from Texas, was in Austin as well for the Longhorns’ 50-47 double-overtime win against Notre Dame on Sunday.
“It was amazing!” he said. “The atmosphere was crazy! I loved everything about my visits.”
On Monday, the 2018 prospect announced another layer to the recruiting process with a scholarship offer from what he described as, “my dream school”. When Moore makes a college decision, LSU can now be up for consideration as a future destination.
“LSU was the school I grew up watching!” he said. “So to get that offer today was amazing.”

Moore plans to visit Baton Rouge this season, along with Alabama, Florida State and Oklahoma. He holds offers from the Seminoles and the Sooners, and took a pair of unofficial visits to Norman on March 24 and July 29. He was offered during an unofficial visit to Houston on Feb. 24, which defeated Oklahoma 33-23 this past Saturday.
Moore’s grandfather is Cougars’ alum Charlie Hall, who spent 10 seasons in the NFL as a linebacker with the Cleveland Browns, after being selected in the third round (Pick 68) of the 1971 draft.
“Houston is a great program.”
The junior possesses traits of both a slot receiver and a scat back, but can be effective at the X positions as well. Reminds us of Notre Dame wide receiver CJ Sanders, a true sophomore with a dynamic presence in space on offense, and in the return game on special teams.
On the perimeter of the offense, patterns are fluid and allows for consistent separation from opposing defensive backs. Finds ways to high point the football with an elite vertical presence.
