Nearly four months since receiving a scholarship offer from in-state Florida, Daquon Green is now a Gator.
The Tampa Bay Tech (Tampa), wide receiver made a verbal announcement on Tuesday, via Twitter.
Florida extended an offer to Green on May 4, which was the same day as Ole Miss from the SEC West.
Miami offered three days prior while Middle Tennessee State (May 11), Virginia Tech (May 12), UCF (May 13), North Carolina (May 14), Idaho (May 15), Georgia (May 18), Ohio State (May 20), Tennessee (May 20), South Carolina (May 20) and Auburn (May 22) all extended offers of their own in the month of May as well.

The 2017 prospect has also added offers from Toledo (Feb. 9), Cincinnati (Feb. 13) and Kentucky (April 20) while receiving a visit from Ohio State running backs coach Tony Alford on May 20, and took an unofficial visit to USF on June 01.
Five days later, Green attended Michigan’s satellite camp in Tampa, and landed an offer from the Wolverines the following day.
He has a natural presence on the field in terms of the ability to run routes with a polished approach. Green is deceptive off the line of scrimmage, making it difficult for opposing defensive backs to key on his patterns. After the catch, he is explosive in space. A natural fit at the X position.
