A month after narrowing a list of 49 scholarship offers to only five, Jamyest Williams has made plans to announce his future college.
The cornerback will share the verbal commitment on Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. in front of peers, family, coaches and faculty at Grayson High School (Loganville, GA).
In early July, Williams trimmed his favorite programs to Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee. The incoming senior recently visited South Carolina on July 23. Prior to the trip to Columbia (SC), Williams took a visit to Ohio State on May 8 and made camp trips to Georgia on June 10 as well as Clemson on June 14.
He posseses the potential to excel at all of the cornerback positions. Williams brings elite athleticism and toughness to the position, with his background as a running back, where he carried the football 190 times for 1,250 yards and 23 touchdowns during 2015.
