2017 Madison County DL Kelvin Kegler

Kelvin Kegler makes your eyebrows raise. We’re talking about a 3-4 DE, built like a 4-3 DT, with the pass rush technique of a 4-3 defensive end.

With that being said, the Madison County High School product projects to be scheme diverse in our opinion. We see a fit at 3-4 DE, 4-3 DT, NICKEL DT and DIME DT, making hime an every down defensive linman.

When Kegler gets engaged at the line, never saw a time he was back peddling. We found countless examples of Kegler walking offensive linemen upfield, penetrating through the line of scrimmage untouched, and stuffing the run.

Kegler possesses quick twitch athletic traits. This allows the defensive lineman to provide a pass rush as well as put pressure on field goals and extra points, and line up on the offensive side of the ball at fullback.
