College interest grows for Chicago area DB

February has continued to be a busy month for Benjamin Perry.

The Mt. Carmel (IL) safety, who capped off this past season with the most interceptions in school history, added another scholarship offer over the weekend.

Purdue became the latest school to extend one to Perry during what has been a busy last few weeks of college interest.

This week, the 2021 prospect received offers from Indiana and Bowling Green.

Kansas State, Missouri, Syracuse, Buffalo, Boston College and Georgia Tech all added offers of their own earlier this month while Notre Dame hosted him for a campus visit.

Perry held zero FBS offers prior to Halloween until Western Michigan became the first school during November, following a trip to see an Illinois 24-23 win over Wisconsin in October.

The incoming senior went on to land more offers from Ball State, Iowa State, Temple and Brown before Christmas along with Louisville, Cincinnati, Kent State, Yale and Toledo after the new year.

Iowa State hosted Perry for a visit as well.
