South Carolina hosts elite long snapper

Colby Cox made a return to South Carolina over the weekend.

Following a trip to Columbia for a camp this past summer, the Woodstock (GA) long snapper was back on Saturday for the Gamecocks’ SEC opener against Alabama.

A weeked prior to this past June’s camp, Cox was in Tuscaloosa and at Mississippi State.

Earlier that month, Florida State hosted him.

The 2020 prospect took his first visit of the season last weekend after spending time at Georgia Southern, who extended a scholarship offer in the Spring.

Cox was also in Starkville and at rivals Georgia and Georgia Tech during April, and landed offers from rivals Air Force and Army.

Auburn, Wake Forest, Florida State and Georgia State all hosted the senior earlier this year.
