Wednesday’s scholarship offer from Tennessee has Kalel Mullings taking notice of the Volunteers, specifically the coaching staff.
And with head coach Jeremy Pruitt now in Knoxville following two years as defensive coordinator at Alabama, the Milton Academy (Milton, MA) linebacker/running back is already believing in the first-year head coach.
“I know the staff is new,” Mullings said. “I think its only a matter of time before Coach Pruitt has them winning again and competing for championships. Tennessee has a great tradition of winning.”
The 2020 prospect added an offer from Purdue on Wednesday as well and recently received an invite to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Mullings made a visit to Penn State during June following a Nittany Lions’ offer in mid-May after Virginia, UMass, Duke, Vanderbilt, UNC and Clemson added ones of their own.
Earlier in the Spring, he was on-campus at Notre Dame, Michigan and Northwestern.
Last Fall, Mullings took a trip to Ann Arbor after spending time at Boston College.
He was also at Southern Cal, Syracuse, Cornell, Stanford and UCLA last summer.
