Glenbrook North High School played host to theĀ Under Armour All-America Camp Series Chicago Regional on Sunday.
Listed below are a collection of various college targets competing at a variety of positions on the football field for the second part of our recap.
This includes multiple sleepers as well as some of the best in the Midwest.
Coming off his freshman season, Ron Powlus looked the part of a pro-style quarterback at Sunday’s event.
Excellent feet in the pocket with arm strength as good as any 2021 prospect throughout the Midwest, there is a lot to work with as he heads into his sophomore season.
Deceiving athleticism as well after showing an ability to throw the football with accuracy on the move.
On the tape, the Penn (Mishawaka, IN) quarterback takes a shot with Holt (Holt, MI) wide receiver JoJo Martinez who lined up against John Burroughs (St. Louis, MO) defensive back Derrick Miller.
Martinez spent time at Central Michigan in late April after visits to Old Dominion, Morgan State and Maryland earlier in the month.
The 2020 prospect made a trip to Michigan during September.
Miller most recently received a scholarship offer from Eastern Michigan on Saturday following offers from New Mexico, NIU and Princeton last month.
During March, the 2019 prospect made visits to Memphis as well as in-state rivals Iowa and Iowa State.
He holds offers from both schools, along with Arkansas State, Ball State, Bowling Green, Indiana State, Miami (OH), Western Michigan, Columbia, Dartmouth and YALE.
JACARDIA WRIGHT RB/DB ST. TERESA (IL)
The 2019 prospect has the potential to play on offense or defense at the next level.
It may come down to what a college football team’s needs are.
If program Y is looking to find a 3-down running back with a patient downhill presence or program Z needs a defensive back with safety/nickel back skill sets, Wright can fit into any of these positions.
On March 3, the junior received offers from Western Michigan, NIU, Central Michigan and Iowa, who he went to see 24 hours later.
Wright most recently landed an offer from Michigan State last month following a visit to Illinois during the second weekend of March.
MARQUAE KIRKENDOLL DB SIMEON CAREER ACADEMY (IL)
Since his first offer from Fordham in early June, Kirkendoll has continued to gain more college interest throughout 2017-18.
The 2019 defensive back went on to add two more offers from Indiana State and Iowa State just after the new year.
This was followed with a trip to Illinois in late February along with another to Indiana in early March.
Later that month, Kirkendoll received offers from Eastern Michigan, Eastern Kentucky and Western Illinois.
He also holds offers from Toledo, South Dakota State and Holy Cross, and most recently added one from Central Michigan.
