More offers this week for All-American

It’s been a busy week of scholarships for Chris Tyree.

Boston College, Illinois and Pitt all extended offers to the all-purpose running back on Monday.

Notre Dame added one of their own on Tuesday while Nebraska offered on Friday.

Tyree spoke of the offer from the Fighting Irish.

“What I know most about Notre Dame is that they have a very rich football tradition,” he said. “I also know they are one of the top ranked schools academically and have a high graduation rate for their football players.”

The Thomas Dale (Chester, VA) 2020 prospect shared his impressions of Irish running backs coach Autry Denson, the school’s all-time leading rusher.

“I will be learning a lot more in the upcoming months and will hopefully increase my relationship with Coach Denson and the rest of the staff,” he said. “At this point I’ve only spoken with Coach Denson who gave me the offer.”

Last month, Tyree received offers from Tennessee, Florida and Michigan, and took a visit to Ann Arbor as well as Florida State and Wake Forest.

March included campus trips to Mississippi State, Georgia, Maryland and South Carolina for the sophomore.

He also holds an invite to the Under Armour All-American Game.
