Coming off a sophomore season with Griffin (Griffin, GA), Damarjhe Lewis already has a favorite as it relates to his college choices.
The defensive lineman made a pair of visits to rivals Florida and Florida State this past February and came away impressed by the Gators.
“Both Florida and Florida State visits went well but to me the University of Florida is who I got my eyes on right now,” he said. “I love the atmosphere there.”
Lewis reflected on meeting with first-year head coach Dan Mullen and staff as well as where they stand compared to the other programs showing him interest.
“The coaching staff is great,” he said. “Florida is No. 1 on my list at this moment. I would love to wear the blue and orange one day.”
Prior to the trips to Gainesville and Tallahassee, the 2020 prospect received his first scholarship offer from Syracuse this past December.
Lewis made an in-state visit during the Fall when he was on-campus at Georgia Tech for the Yellow Jackets’s 38-24 win over Wake Forest in late October.
