Notre Dame impresses Boston area RB/LB

Following an unofficial visit to Northwestern earlier in the week, Milton Academy (Boston, MA) product Kalel Mullings made an unofficial visit to Notre Dame over the weekend.

“Everything was great,” he said. “But as you walk in the football building you notice that this program is on another level. All the Heisman trophies are lined up as you enter. You look around and you know this program is about business. The campus, the stadium and the staff also stood out.”

Prior to the South Bend trip, the 2020 linebacker/running back had received a scholarship offer from the Wildcats during his trip to Evanston.

Mullings has Spring Break over the next two weeks and plans to continue the campus tour later this month which includes a return to see the Fighting Irish.

“I am heading south to Duke and UNC,” he said. “I will also try to get down to Clemson. I will camp at Yale, ND, and one other school. I want to camp at a Big Ten or SEC school.”

The sophomore was at both Michigan and Boston College during the Fall and holds offers from both programs.

This past summer, he took trips to Penn State, Southern Cal, Syracuse, Cornell, Stanford and UCLA, where the Bruins extended an offer.

Mullings also holds offers from the Orangemen, Maryland, Rutgers and San Jose State.
