Penn State added to their list of targets along the line of scrimmage on Saturday.
Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI) product Xavier Truss became the 14th offensive linemen to receive a scholarship offer from the Nittany Lions’ 2019 recruiting class.
Truss made a trip to campus this past November and reflected on his impressions of the football program.
“Happy Valley was probably the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen,” he said. “It was weird to be in a place with so many nice people who actually care about you and don’t just tell you what you want to hear. They are very straight forward and honest.”
The junior had more Big Ten interest earlier this week.
On Thursday, he landed his first offer from the conference when Maryland extended one of their own.
The ACC has shown interest towards him as well. This past Fall, Truss took a visit to Boston College and also holds an offer from BYU.
He most recently competed in the week’s US Army All-American combine.
